For this design, I used the highest quality Japanese Miyuki gold-plated beads with 24K gold, Japanese Miyuki beads in dark blue and black, tiny faceted beads in bronze tones, and unique black semi-precious stones Onyx with precise faceting.

Onyx is a mysterious black stone believed to carry powerful effects. It is said to teach spiritual wisdom and help increase self-confidence, making it easier to handle life situations. It is also believed to absorb negative energy from the body, helping to release emotional burdens.

When someone feels lost or stuck, Onyx is thought to provide support and guidance toward clarity and solutions. It is also traditionally associated with strengthening self-control, determination, and focus, while encouraging inner concentration and humility.

The myth of Onyx dates back to ancient Roman mythology. It is said that Venus was resting by the river Indus when Cupid used one of his magical arrows to give her a manicure. The cut nails fell into the sacred river, and because they were of divine origin, they transformed into the gemstone Onyx. The name comes from the Greek word onux, meaning “claw.”
