This luxurious jewelry set was designed as an accessory to the iconic little black dress as part of the Hagyományok Háza project “Little Black Dress 2025” in Budapest.

While designing it, I was inspired by the aesthetics of Audrey Hepburn and the elegance of Dior — their timeless style, purity of lines, and femininity subtly found their way into the details of this lace set.

The set is embroidered with silk and freshwater pearls, but its heart lies in the tiny forget-me-not flowers inspired by a motif from Kalocsai embroidery. In folk tradition, the forget-me-not symbolizes faithfulness, memories, and true love. I have always loved its quiet beauty — a flower that softly says, “forget me not.” I wanted these delicate flowers to have their moment to shine — as a tribute to tenderness, sensitivity, and the memories we carry within us.

That is why I chose shades of blue and violet — colors characteristic of the “Kalocsai szomorú pamukos” embroidery style. They carry both gentle melancholy and the beauty of remembrance, as if holding within them the silence of the past and the depth of emotion I wished to express through this piece.

The foundation of the set is handmade lace created from exclusive original Zari Zardozi thread, produced in India from genuine sterling silver (Ag925).

Zardozi is a type of intricate embroidery made with metallic gold or silver threads on silk, satin, or velvet fabric.

The lace flowers are embroidered with pastel blue and pastel violet natural silk made in Paris (100% silk), natural freshwater pearls, and Czech Preciosa crystals. The components are made from sterling silver Ag925 (studs, chain, and clasp), making the set suitable even for sensitive ears.

Creating this set requires at least 35 hours of pure handwork — in reality, the entire process takes several weeks.

This set is currently exhibited in Budapest, and in spring it will also be presented in Brussels and Istanbul. I would be delighted to create a custom-made version for you within one month, also available in a white variation!
