The patterns of traditional folk embroidery evolved over time, influenced by fashion, artistic styles, as well as the individual tastes and needs of local communities. Motifs were often adopted from wall paintings, ceramics, and furniture. Nature provided endless inspiration, as reflected in the abundance of floral ornaments.

When designing these small Folk-Inspired Earrings, I drew inspiration from the traditional embroidery of various regions and from the enchanting botanical motifs, especially tulips.

To create them, I used the finest and most delicate Japanese seed beads, Czech Preciosa crystals set in metal settings, and unique porcelain beads. The earring posts are made of surgical stainless steel.
