These handmade stud earrings feature a radiant ruby at the center – a symbol of passion, love, and strength. The beadwork technique gives them lightness and originality, making them a perfect accessory for both everyday wear and special occasions.

For this design, I used Japanese beads in a deep wine-red shade and gold-plated beads with a durable Duracoat finish. The stud posts are made of surgical steel, suitable for sensitive ears.

Ruby is one of the most precious gemstones. With its colour variations ranging from pink to purplish-red (caused by traces of chromium and iron), it is considered one of the most striking and beautiful gemstones. Ruby is a traditional gift for 40th and 50th wedding anniversaries and is known as the “king of gemstones.”

According to legend, ruby gives its wearer the strength of a lion, the fearlessness of an eagle, and the wisdom of a serpent. It is believed to bring a life of peace and material abundance. Ruby is also said to awaken love in the human heart and support happy marriages. It brings energy and emotional balance, and symbolically removes both physical and emotional weakness.
