My first encounter with this extraordinary variety of silicate immediately inspired me to create, and so I made these small, elegant stud earrings. They are suitable for any occasion—whether it's a wedding, a ball, a theatre visit, or simply everyday wear.

At the center of each earring is a rare faceted Larimar gemstone accompanied by a Swarovski crystal. The stud posts are available in either sterling silver (Ag925) or surgical stainless steel.

Larimar – also known as the “Dolphin Stone” – is considered one of the rarest gemstones in the world.

It was only discovered and described in 1975, which is why no ancient legends are associated with it. Interestingly, the Dominican Republic Dominican Republic remains the only known source of Larimar, and exporting the stone in its raw, unprocessed form is prohibited.

Its name combines Lari, the name of the discoverer’s daughter, and the Spanish word mar, meaning “sea.”

Larimar symbolizes the ocean and its power. It is believed to encourage inner peace, harmony, perspective, determination, openness, patience, creativity, emotional balance, and positive thinking while supporting personal growth and change.

According to crystal healing traditions, Larimar is said to stimulate mental activity, activate the body's natural restorative processes, and help release emotional and energetic blockages.

It is also traditionally associated with supporting respiratory health, the throat area, the thyroid gland, and the lymphatic and immune systems.

Larimar is a volcanic stone formed as a result of volcanic activity that took place millions of years ago.

A popular local legend says that Larimar is a stone of good fortune. According to the story, a woman whose life had been filled with difficulties purchased a Larimar ring and shortly afterward won a significant sum of money.
