Bridesmaids are an inseparable part of the wedding day, and these delicate earrings are a beautiful way to thank them for contributing to the perfection of your wedding.

Bridesmaids have been an integral part of weddings since ancient Rome. Back then, they dressed the same as the bride in order to confuse vengeful spirits that might wish harm upon the newlyweds. It was not until the Victorian era that the tradition of bridesmaids began to resemble the one we know today. During weddings, young girls arranged flowers and accompanied the bride down the aisle to the altar. There was still a connection to history, however: bridesmaids carried herbs, grain, and garlic down the aisle to ward off evil spirits from the bride. Perhaps this is also why bridesmaids today still carry bouquets of flowers.

For these earrings, I used the highest quality and most exquisite tiny Japanese beads in various colors. At the center is a hand-embroidered Aurora© crystal (very similar in beauty and quality to Swarovski crystals), and the earring hooks are made of surgical steel.

I can customize the earrings to match the color of the bridesmaids’ dresses. You may choose matching earrings for everyone, or different designs for each bridesmaid (round, teardrop-shaped, more or less embellished) while keeping the same color palette… or matching each bridesmaid’s favorite color.
