Encountering this otherworldly variety of silicate immediately inspired me to create, and so I designed these smaller, simple stud earrings. They are suitable for any occasion – weddings, balls, theatre performances, or simply everyday wear :)

At the centre of the earrings are very rare faceted semi-precious Larimar stones and a Swarovski crystal. The upper part is complemented with large white Swarovski pearls, set with sterling silver Ag925 findings. The stud posts are made of surgical stainless steel. This is a one-of-a-kind pair featuring this Swarovski pearl!

★ Larimar, also known as the “Dolphin Stone,” is among the rarest semi-precious gemstones in the world.

It was discovered and described only in 1975, so there are no historical legends associated with it. Interestingly, the Dominican Republic is still its only known source, and exporting the stone in its raw form from the country is prohibited.

Its name is derived from the discoverer’s daughter “Lari” and the Spanish word mar – sea.

It symbolizes the sea and its power, and is believed to support inner peace, harmony, perspective, determination, openness, patience, creativity, emotional distance from problems, and positive thinking. It is said to encourage change.

It is also associated with stimulating brain activity, activating self-healing responses, and releasing emotional and energetic blockages. It is believed to support the lungs, upper respiratory tract, bronchi, throat, thyroid gland, lymphatic system, and immune system.

Larimar is a volcanic stone formed through volcanic activity millions of years ago.

It is said to be a stone of luck – according to a local legend, a woman who had only problems in her life bought a Larimar ring and shortly after won a significant sum of money.
